We collect as little as possible, keep it for as short a time as possible, and do not pass it on without you knowing.

Data controller

Alnet AS, Espelandsveien 30, 4985 Vegårshei, Norway, is the data controller for personal data collected through alnet.no. Questions can be directed to post@alnet.no.

What we collect

  • Contact form: name, email, optionally phone and company, and the content of your message
  • Newsletter: email address and the time you subscribed
  • Technical: anonymised visitor statistics with no cross-site tracking

What we use it for

Information from the contact form is used solely to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, follow up on a proposal. The legal basis is legitimate interest under GDPR article 6(1)(f), or the performance of a contract under 6(1)(b).

Newsletter addresses are processed on the basis of consent, and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the bottom of every issue.

Cookies

The site uses one strictly necessary cookie that remembers your language choice. It contains no personal data and requires no consent. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing cookies.

Retention

Enquiries that do not lead to a client relationship are deleted no later than twelve months after the last contact. Data connected to a client relationship is kept for the duration of the agreement, and afterwards for as long as Norwegian accounting law requires.

Processors

We use suppliers for hosting, email delivery and analytics. All of them have a data processing agreement with us, and data is processed within the EEA.

Your rights

  • Access to the data we hold about you
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure of data we no longer have grounds to store
  • Restriction of processing and the right to object
  • Data portability where processing is based on consent or contract

Complaints

If you believe we process data contrary to the regulations, you can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority. We would appreciate it if you contacted us first so we can put it right.
